A beautiful evening with Tita Babette!

An invitation to a friends home is really a treat. In fact the older I get the more I realize that this is the kind of evenings that I most enjoy. One of my favourite hostesses recently had my sister and I over for diner at her beautiful home in Paris. Tita Babette invited a few designers showing in Paris for a fantastic dinner. As a treat she even had Chef Aaron Isip prepare it and we were all truly in for a delicious dining experience.

It was the last day of Paris Fashion week and we were all in a celebratory mood! Tita Babette started the evening rolling with champagne and canapés. There was so much laughter and energy in the room that I couldn’t help just feel grateful that I was once again in Paris and in her home. Tita Babette is a friend of my mother and in many ways a mother to everyone who is visiting and lives in Paris.

We then moved to her dining table where Aaron prepared a sumptuous feast. Beginning with a Autumn themed soup of squash and delicious mushrooms fresh form the market. We then had a main course of duck confit and RICE! You all should have seen our faces when we saw rice! A week without rice can be a challenge! LOL!

Dessert was a wonderful TURON filled with bananas! It was heartwarming and divine. Dinner conversations were varied and highly entertaining. There was never a dull moment throughout the entire evening as we recapped and toasted our Paris fashion week experience.

Just wanted to thank Tita Babette for a lovely evening and I cannot wait to see her next season.
