I am a strong believer in the power of the pause! One really needs some breathing time in order to become more productive. After a series of creative exertions Nix and I decided to take a quick break out of the city. It was also like catching two birds with one hand as our dear Thea Jacinto was going to get married that same weekend.
So I took half the day off and headed of South. I arrived just as the sun was setting and was welcomed with a fabulous view of the ocean. I was also greeted by the most verdant and vibrant hues of bougainvillea’s which really made me so happy. I was welcomed by my dear sunshine Malu Gamboa and we got ready for the welcome/rehearsal dinner for the wedding. The weather could not have been more perfect that day as it was cool, breezy and just lovely. We first had drinks under the coconut trees and the moved to dinner al fresco style where the aunt and uncle of the groom prepared a delicious Filipino meal. Nix and I were in charge of making breakfast for the gang and boy we did go to town. I was really happy to have been able to prepare this for our friends as this was perhaps what things would be like in the very near future.
