My Berlin sightseeing continues with a visit to the Parliament building of Germany, on top of which sits this fabulous cylindrical architectural wonder. Everyone is actually welcome to visit and climb up the top of the glass, metal and silver dome. All you have to do is to cue up early in the morning for a slot/ticket number and you're good to go. I love that it’s free—all you have to do is bring your passport and you get this wonderful experience. I love the vantage point as well as you get to see clearly all over the city. Don’t forget to get an audio guide, too, as it tells you more about the city of Berlin. Click on the link so you can pre-register online: https://www.bundestag.de/en/visittheBundestag/dome...

Right after the dome, we made our way to Museum Island with several museums to explore. It was difficult to decide but we chose The Neue Museums http://www.smb.museum/en/museums-institutions/neue... I was really pleased that we chose the “New” Museum to visit as it was really so beautiful. I love the materials that were used to build it as I found the stone and the colors so soothing and chic. I know one day that I will live in a museum as I love them so much. There is really so much to see and explore in the museum, and on top of that is the famous bust of Nefertiti. It’s actually very small in real life but it was still so magical just the same. We took around 3 to 4 hours exploring the museum but I know I would have taken more time if not for a late lunch meeting that we arranged. I highly recommend the museum as there is so much to learn about our world and this museum is really wonderful.
